"  When  we  speak  of  meaning,  however,  we  should  not  disregard  the  fact  that  man  does  not  fulfill  the  meaning  of  his  existence  merely  by  his creative  endeavors  and  experiential  encounters,  or  by  working  and  loving.  We  must  not  overlook  the  fact  that  there  are  also  tragic experiences  inherent  in  human  life,  above  all  that  'tragic  triad'- if  I  may  use  this  term-which  is  represented  by  the  primordial  facts  of  man's  existence:  suffering,  guilt,  and  transitoriness."
